United Methodist Committee on Deaf & Hard of Hearing Ministries

The Deaf & Hard of Hearing Ministries Committee of The United Methodist Church is the official steering committee to support United Methodist churches and ministries to be welcoming and accessible for Deaf, hard of hearing and DeafBlind church and community members.

The Deaf & Hard of Hearing Ministries Committee (the DHM Committee) was established at the 1992 General Conference of The United Methodist Church, also known as The Church and Deaf Ministries Steering Committee. The United Methodist Congress of the Deaf (UMCD), a Deaf caucus that includes Deaf and hard of hearing leaders and Deaf ministries across the United Methodist connection, created collaborations to support the petition to General Conference leading to the passing and implementation of the DHM committee.

The DHM Committee welcomes financial donations from individuals, groups and organizations to help support its work and mission. To learn more about making a donation towards the United Methodist Advance, click here. Thank you for your generosity.
